“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”- Nelson Mandela.

Yes, education is the key to eliminate all the problems! Growing up in a less fortunate community has not only offered financial and academic challenges, but helped me realise the value of education.

I was in my 2nd year of college when I first arrived at the Faith Rescue Home (FRH). In the beginning, I felt very lonely and homesick because I was not used to being separated from my mother. I always locked myself in our shared bedroom, tears spilt over and flowed down my face like a river escaping a dam. As days passed by I learned how to love and embrace, the HOME has given the hope to equip myself with the most powerful weapon which I can use to change the world.

FRH has loved me, cared for me, nurtured me, and mostly importantly shaped me for who I am today. Through the educational assistance which they provided to us, I was able to finish my bachelor degree in Industrial Education in Technology and Livelihood Education in Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University-Mid Union Campus in 2016.

After I graduated, FRH supported me financially and this covered my licensure examination fee. I also took Food and Beverage Services, a short term course at Sea and Sky College to await for my licensure exam result. In 2017, I was hired as permanent teacher of the Department of Education at Castor Z. Concepcion Memorial National High School. At present, I’m taking a master’s degree in technological education.

I am forever indebted to the FRH for the help and support they have given me. Thank you to God the Almighty for bringing FRH into my life. I’m also grateful to those who have been so generous in the past years for supporting the HOME. My dream would never have had come true without their generosities.
