Fundraising for 32 Children

Giles Surman (53), his wife Julia and his son Otto (17) have kindly agreed to raise HKD$188,000 for the Foundation by sailing, rowing, paddling, swimming, walking, and cycling.

888 km (480nm) is equivalent of the sailing distance from Hong Kong to San Fernando, Philippines. The San Fernando Race Foundation is a Hong Kong registered charity formed to support the Home of Loving Faithfulness for 32 children in San Fernando, Northern Luzon.

Giles will "compete” with Otto and Julia in reaching the 888 km target. The competition starts this weekend on the 8th of November 2020 where Giles and Otto will sail one-man sailing dinghies (RS Aero’s) on the RHKYC’s Round the Island Race.

Please support Giles and his family generously for such an amazing cause and we’re extremely grateful for their time and efforts in fundraising for the children at the Home in Philippines. Stay tuned and we will be updating their journeys here.

Giles is a Hong Kong based lawyer who despite his professional calling wishes to demonstrate his “heart” by this project.
